145-Tellurium Stock

Tellurium copper is used in many applications, such as in electronics.

Because of these characteristics, it can be applied in particular applications. It has excellent electrical and thermal conductivity and outstanding formability and machinability.

It possesses exceptional properties in terms of corrosion resistance and electrical conductivity. Additionally, it is classified as suitable for both heated and cooling operations, and it can be brazed or soldered with relative ease, among other things.

Moreover, 145-Tellurium Copper is considered a free-machining copper alloy, making it an excellent choice for parts requiring extensive machining, corrosion resistance, or high conductivity.

O’Hare Precision Metals can provide a wide range of company-supplied or customer-supplied components and materials. Just like how we can offer you the best 1145-Tellurium Copper bar stocks and 1145-Tellurium Copper round bar stocks in O’Hare!

Machinability and other Processes

The machinability rate of 145-Tellurium Copper is 85. When compared to steel 12L14, it shows a significant difference. It is suitable for hot and cold working, forging, brazing, and soldering, but it is not recommended for welding applications. Although, it is capable of being annealed.

It generates short, clean chips that are easily removed from the substrate. Tellurium copper is more productive and faster than pure Copper in terms of machine speed and efficiency. Therefore, it has three types of welding that are only acceptable: oxyacetylene welding, gas-shielded arc welding, and butt welding.

Applications

The electrical capabilities of 145-Tellurium Copper are indeed standard. That is why it makes electrical switches, connectors, motor parts, and more. On top of that, it can also be used in making contacts, fasteners, pins, and plumbing fittings.
