Stainless Steel Round Bar and All Major Precision Ground Metal Grades
We stock, grind, and process stainless steel, alloy steel, carbon steel, tool steel, aluminum, nickel alloys, and titanium round bars from one reliable Chicago-area metal supplier.
Alloy steel bar grades we carry include 4130, 4140, 41L40, 4142, 4340, 52100, 8740, and 9310. These precision ground alloy bars deliver high strength, hardenability, and wear resistance for aerospace, automotive, and oil and gas applications where load performance drives material selection.
Our stainless steel round bar inventory covers grades 302, 303, 304, 304L, 316, 316L, 316LVM, 321, 347, 410, 416, 420, 420F, 430, 430F, 440, 440C, 446, 455, 15-5PH, and 17-4PH. These precision ground bars support food processing, marine, medical implants, and precision machining where corrosion resistance and surface finish are critical.
Carbon steel bar stock grades in our inventory include 1018, 1026, 1117, 11L17, 1141, 11L41, 1144, 1215, 12L14, 4140, 8620, and 86L20, ground and ready to ship. Carbon steel is a cost-effective, machinable bar stock option for general manufacturing and screw machine applications.
Tool steel bar stock grades we stock include A2, H13, O1, O6, S7, and W1 for cutting tools, forming dies, and precision tooling applications. Each bar goes through our grinding process to preserve dimensional stability, hardness, and tight-tolerance performance.
We supply medical stainless steel bars in chromium-nickel alloy grades, including 303, 304, and 316 variants for surgical instruments and medical device components. Each bar is precision ground to the tight tolerances and smooth surface finishes medical machining requires.
We carry brass, copper, and bronze round stock, including 360 brass, 110 copper, 145 tellurium copper, 673 bronze, and 954 bronze for electrical, thermal, and bearing applications. These red metals machine cleanly and hold tight tolerances through our grinding process.
