Known for quality production and expertise in the industry, O’Hare Precision Metals maintains its full production of copper round bars that are made out of wrought aluminum-iron-copper alloys that are used in applications wherein great wear and fatigue are involved. Copper round bars are usually used as bearing retainer cages, bushings, sleeve bearings, and valve stems and guides.

We offer a full line of drawn copper/ copper alloy copper bar and copper rod products. We work on creating and forging copper round bars that can meet and pass corporate steel specifications that are available in rounds or customer-specified shapes. The copper products can be made out of various copper grades.

As one of its core roles in the industry, raw copper materials can be machined into electrode tips that are highly used in the resistance welding industry. Right below is a chart of the different copper round bar finishes and copper tubing sizes that we have available:

Copper Grades

Copper grades have important mechanical properties that enable the material to undergo various machining conditions and temperatures.

Copper Grades

These copper grades, just like every other metal grade, are specified and evaluated through their mechanical properties for their targeted and designated applications.

Copper grades possess mechanical properties that are highly applicable in pump and valve components, pope line hardware, high strength fasteners for industrial process streams, and marine equipment.

They are known for their resisting properties against corrosion as copper and other traditional metal types like brass and bronze are commonly referred to as “lattens” but they tend to be termed now as “copper alloys”.

Copper grades have mostly soft and malleable properties. They also possess ductility, high electrical and thermal conductivity. Copper metals are commonly used as heat and electricity conductors, a constituent of different metal alloys, and building materials. Below you’ll find a chart that shows you the different copper grades that we produce:

C623 has excellent corrosion resistance; has good acid resistance used in industrial process streams
C624 has excellent corrosion resistance; heat treatable to high strength marine equipment, pole line hardware, high strength fasteners
C30 corrosion resistant; has typical tensile strength pump and valve components for industrial process streams
C632 corrosion resistant; has moderate strengt marine equipment, high strength fasteners, valve and pump components, pole line hardware
C70600 corrosion resistant in marine environments; has good creep resistance and moderate high strength at elevated temperatures used for seawater service, fittings and hardware, valve and pump components
C70690 copper-nickel alloys marine applications
